WISE UP Workshops CIC is a Community Interest Company based in Morecambe.
Who is Wise Up?
Wise Up is a disabled-led organisation, we use theatre making & the arts to create change, providing accessible & inclusive pathways to a positive future for local people of all abilities. Founded in 2013 our aim remains the same ‘to give people of all ages with disabilities, additional & emotional needs a creative safe space to build confidence and life skills’.
We offer new opportunities, experiences and connections to celebrate what people CAN do together with everyone.

I never thought at the age of 88 years young I would perform on the stage. I love coming to Wise Up and having fun
As someone with a disability and long term health issues I find coming here helps me to show my creativity and express without barriers. I am given the opportunity to write and direct projects and feel trusted by the groups to showcase my experience who in turn give me so much joy and pride in what they devise.
It is so much FUN at wise up, we do plays and we play games and dress up. Ten out of ten!
We get to decide what projects and productions we do and we lead the ideas and process which I think is really unique compared to other places. This is my safe space and I have made some excellent friends
