Who We Are

WISE UP Workshops CIC is a Community Interest Company based in Morecambe.

Since 2013 we have been supporting local people of all ages & all abilities through an inclusive range of creative activities to promote health & wellbeing, to build resilience and self-confidence.

Our main aims are;

  • To learn life skills
  • To improve mental health
  • To offer opportunities and new experiences for all ages
What do we deliver?

  • Weekly drama workshops for young people & adults
  • Performance projects at local theatre spaces
  • Evening classes for all ages
  • School Support for individuals and small groups delivering play therapy, drama therapy & drawing & talking therapy
  • Wellbeing experience days for individuals and families
  • Community collaborative projects

Creative
Hub

Weekly drama & creative arts workshops for young people ages 5-17.

Acting, Dancing, Performance, Art & Creative projects performed at local venues.

Learn news skills, build confidence, have fun and make new friends.

Every Tuesday 6pm-8pm.

Wise Up Youth Theatre

This group is created by the young people themselves using performing arts as a medium to express their views and beliefs on issues that they feel affect their lives such as mental health issues, environmental topics and relationships. The main aim is to offer a safe creative space for local teenagers. Suitable for ages 12+, based in Morecambe, Tuesdays 7pm-9pm.

Holiday Youth Programme

Our holiday programme offers creative arts and performance skills workshops & performance projects during Easter & Summer.

For ages 5 upwards, all abilities welcome.

Youth Film
Club

A relaxed atmosphere to catch up with friends and connect through films of all themes. We provide a healthy cooked meal and a warm safe space. Donations welcome. Fortnightly Mondays 6-8.30pm, all ages welcome.

ATG

Adult Theatre Group offers a fun weekly inclusive space for adults with disabilities. Our approach is to collaborate & create devised theatre together.

We meet on Wednesday mornings and Friday afternoons.

The cost is £5 per session/ Carers attend for free.

Little Theatre Company
By The Sea

We are a small ensemble of local performers and artists of all ages from the local area. We deliver productions and projects at various venues which are accessible to all. If you are interested in joining please email the team to arrange an informal meeting.

Wellbeing
Wednesdays

We welcome everyone of all ages and all abilities to our welcoming creative space at our central Morecambe venue, we provide a healthy lunch and tai Chi. Prices from £2.50. Carers free.

From Arts and Crafts created by attendees and local artists to gift vouchers for an experience day, from beautiful pre loved clothes to seaside inspired handmade gifts there is something for everyone. Visit our shop in the Plaza Arcade in Morecambe on Tuesdays-Fridays or book an exclusive shopping experience.

Monthly Workshops

From Burns supper to Lamb shank suppers, we find any excuse to cook for you, entertain for you and give you a night off. These fundraiser events help to raise funds for our organisation, all ages welcome, families & individuals, contact the team for more details.

Support in
Schools

We provide bespoke one to one and group wellbeing support for children of all ages and all abilities in educational settings.

Using creative arts, storytelling, play therapy and drama we enable children to express themselves and grow in confidence.
